Quality at Every Stage of Production

Quality control is not a final step at Pro Turn CNC — it is integrated throughout the entire manufacturing process. Every part we produce is inspected before dispatch. We do not claim certifications that have not been independently verified.

1. Material Verification

Before machining begins, incoming material is verified against the order requirements:

  • Material designation and grade checked against the customer drawing
  • Material certificates (EN 10204 2.1 or 3.1) requested and retained when required
  • Material traceability maintained throughout production when specified by the customer

2. Inspection During Production

Critical dimensions are checked during the machining process to detect deviations early and prevent non-conforming parts from progressing through production:

  • In-process dimensional checks on critical features
  • Tool condition monitoring
  • First-off part inspection before batch production begins

3. Final Dimensional Inspection

All finished parts undergo dimensional inspection against the customer drawing before dispatch:

  • All critical dimensions verified against drawing tolerances
  • Measuring equipment: [MEASURING EQUIPMENT — e.g. digital callipers, micrometers, height gauge, bore gauge]
  • Measurement documentation available upon request

4. Visual Inspection

Every part is visually inspected for:

  • Surface defects, scratches, and machining marks
  • Completeness of all features (holes, grooves, chamfers, threads)
  • Correct surface finish appearance
  • Absence of burrs and sharp edges

5. Thread Inspection

All threaded features are inspected using appropriate gauging:

  • External threads: Go/No-Go thread ring gauges
  • Internal threads: Go/No-Go thread plug gauges
  • Thread gauges available: [THREAD GAUGE RANGE — e.g. M3–M64 metric, confirm inch range]

6. Deburring

All parts are deburred as standard before dispatch:

  • Manual deburring of all edges, holes, and thread entries
  • Chamfers and radii applied where specified on the drawing
  • Sharp edges removed unless otherwise specified by the customer

7. Cleaning

Parts are cleaned before inspection and packaging:

  • Removal of cutting fluid, chips, and machining residue
  • Cleaning method: [CLEANING METHOD — e.g. compressed air, solvent wipe, ultrasonic cleaning if available]

8. Part Photography

Photographs of finished parts are available upon request:

  • General part photographs for visual confirmation
  • Photographs of specific features upon request
  • Photographs provided digitally before or with shipment

9. Measurement Documentation

Dimensional inspection reports are available upon request:

  • Measured values recorded against drawing nominal dimensions and tolerances
  • Report format: [CONFIRM FORMAT — e.g. PDF table, Excel sheet]
  • Available for prototype orders and production series
  • Provided digitally with or before shipment

10. Material Certificates

Material certificates can be provided when requested and when available from the material supplier:

  • EN 10204 2.1 — Declaration of compliance (standard availability)
  • EN 10204 3.1 — Inspection certificate from material manufacturer (subject to availability and surcharge)
  • Must be requested at the time of order placement
  • Availability depends on material type and supplier

Note: Pro Turn CNC does not hold ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management system certification at this time. Quality is maintained through consistent manufacturing discipline and direct responsibility to the customer.

11. Protective Packaging for International Delivery

All parts are packaged to prevent damage during international transport:

  • Standard protective packaging for all orders
  • VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) packaging available upon request for steel parts
  • Individual wrapping for precision surfaces upon request
  • Custom packaging solutions available upon request
  • Delivery note included with all shipments
